Community Raises $95,001 (updated!) Virtual Fitness Challenge – Our Hospital Walk/Run

The 15^th annual Our Hospital Walk/Run was held virtually over the weekend. With 172 participants it raised more than $94,951 (updated!) supporting advanced medical equipment to serve our community. Opening ceremonies and morning warm-up routines were broadcast over social media and walkers and runners posted their results and inspiring photos.

Celebrating and recognizing all frontline workers, it featured 14 teams; businesses, families, and friends, walking and running the family mile, 5km, 10km or 15km virtual events.

Special thanks and recognition to these 14 teams who participated throughout the community.

“We are grateful and inspired by the generosity of our community – our loyal sponsors and all the participants,” said Tammy Morison, Foundation President and CEO. “Even though we were not able to gather together, it was wonderful to see so many walkers and runners on Sunday for medal pick-up,” she added.

Since the inception of Our Hospital Walk/Run in 2006, our community has raised more than $1.5M in support of the healthcare needs of our community, bringing leading edge equipment and technology to care for our friends, families and loved ones, close to home

Participants can submit their results until September 28^th at 11:59pm on their Race Roster profile page. Medals that were not pick up on Sunday will be mailed. Race results and more information about the event are available at www.ourhospitalwalkrun.ca.
