The North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation (NBRHCF) Board is pleased to announce that North Bay area resident Tammy Morison has accepted the position of President and CEO of the Foundation, replacing Lois Krause who is retiring at the end of this month.
Guido Verrillo, incoming Chair of the Foundation Board of Trustees, says Morison was selected by the interview panel as the successful candidate after a nationwide recruitment process which received over 26 applications from across the country. “Morison is a 15 year veteran of fundraising who has been with our hospital Foundation for over a decade. We are happy to have her continue to inspire our communities to invest in the Health Centre to help provide more advanced levels of care.”
Gord Durnan, Fundraising Expert, current Nipissing University Board Member, former Director South Muskoka Hospital Foundation and interview panel member says Morison brings with her a wealth of fundraising knowledge gained through her years in public service and institutional fund raising settings. “She has worked on numerous successful campaigns, including most recently the campaign for an MRI and other diagnostic imaging equipment for our district that exceeded the $6M target,” Durnan says.
“The interview panel was carefully selected to ensure that our Foundation chose the best qualified individual to this very important position for our region,” explains Jennifer Valenti, Executive Director, Community Living North Bay, Hospital Board member, and interview panel member.
Lachlan McLachlan, Chair of the Foundation Board of Trustees says they are confident Morison can successfully take over the leadership from Krause. “Under Lois’ expert leadership, the Foundation has helped raise money to help our community provide more advanced levels of care for patients in our district,” McLachlan says. “On behalf of the Board of Trustees for the Foundation, I want to express our sincerest gratitude to Lois for her dedication and guidance, and we wish her well in her retirement.”
Morison will assume the role of President and CEO of the Foundation beginning May 1, 2014.
