On a reconnu ces laur\u00e9ates tout particuli\u00e8rement pour leurs efforts visant \u00e0 rendre le syst\u00e8me de sant\u00e9 davantage ax\u00e9 sur le patient. Kathy Chirgwin est l\u2019\u00e9pouse d\u2019Andy, qui \u00e9tait atteint de la maladie d\u2019Alzheimer et qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 hospitalis\u00e9 pendant plus de quatre ans au CRSNB. Malheureusement, Andy est d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 en janvier\u00a02015.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-9572\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Tamara-and-Kathy-Chirgwin.jpg\" alt=\"Tamara and Kathy Chirgwin\" width=\"400\" height=\"324\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nbrhc.on.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Tamara-and-Kathy-Chirgwin.jpg 400w, https:\/\/nbrhc.on.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Tamara-and-Kathy-Chirgwin-300x243.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/>\u00ab\u00a0Kathy voulait trouver une fa\u00e7on de montrer aux fournisseurs de soins la personne que son mari avait \u00e9t\u00e9, soit quelqu\u2019un qui aimait beaucoup sa famille, afin qu\u2019ils apprennent \u00e0 mieux le conna\u00eetre, explique M<sup>me <\/sup>Dube\u2011Clarke. Nous avons donc d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de travailler ensemble \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation d\u2019une vid\u00e9o racontant la vie d\u2019Andy pour pr\u00e9senter ce dernier \u00e0 ses fournisseurs de soins en tant qu\u2019ancien policier, mari, p\u00e8re et grand-p\u00e8re.\u00a0\u00bb La vid\u00e9o a aid\u00e9 le personnel de l\u2019h\u00f4pital \u00e0 avoir de l\u2019empathie pour Andy en tant que patient et personne. Le CRSNB s\u2019en sert maintenant comme outil de formation.<\/p>\n<p>M<sup>me <\/sup>Dube-Clarke et M<sup>me <\/sup>Chirgwin comptaient parmi les laur\u00e9ats reconnus \u00e0 l\u2019occasion du <a href=\"https:\/\/www.etouches.com\/ereg\/index.php?eventid=98324&amp;\">Sommet Capstone et de la c\u00e9l\u00e9bration du 20<sup>e <\/sup>anniversaire<\/a> de la <em>Change Foundation <\/em>tenus \u00e0 l\u2019h\u00f4tel Marriott Downtown du Centre Eaton, \u00e0 Toronto, le 9\u00a0mars dernier.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Nous sommes ravis de mettre en vedette vos r\u00e9alisations \u00e0 titre de chefs de file concernant la mise \u00e0 contribution des patients et les changements ax\u00e9s sur la famille apport\u00e9s au syst\u00e8me de sant\u00e9. C\u2019est tout un honneur pour nous de vous d\u00e9cerner ce prix afin de c\u00e9l\u00e9brer votre engagement manifeste \u00e0 l\u2019am\u00e9lioration du syst\u00e8me au profit des patients et des familles\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 la <em>Change Foundation <\/em>dans une lettre confirmant la remise du prix \u00e0\u00a0M<sup>me\u00a0<\/sup>Dube\u2011Clarke.<\/p>\n<p>Lanc\u00e9e en novembre dernier, la campagne des prix <em>20 Faces of Change<\/em> visait \u00e0 solliciter la mise en candidature de patients, de fournisseurs de soins, de chefs de file et de professionnels de la sant\u00e9, de membres des familles, de membres de la communaut\u00e9, de b\u00e9n\u00e9voles et de membres du personnel qui ont contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019am\u00e9lioration des soins ax\u00e9s sur le patient et la famille. Les 20\u00a0laur\u00e9ats ont \u00e9t\u00e9 choisis par un comit\u00e9 de s\u00e9lection form\u00e9 express\u00e9ment \u00e0 cette fin et compos\u00e9 de tiers chefs de file en soins de sant\u00e9. Le comit\u00e9 a \u00e9valu\u00e9 plus de 80\u00a0candidatures repr\u00e9sentant un large \u00e9ventail d\u2019\u00e9quipes, d\u2019individus et d\u2019organismes et provenant d\u2019un bout \u00e0
