The Board is using an approach that is based on balancing a wide range of knowledge, skills and experience in selecting volunteer board members that represent the population we serve. For these specific Board positions, a solid background in any of the following areas or disciplines would be an asset: human resources/labour relations; law; information technology; business; accounting; patient and healthcare advocacy; Indigenous/cultural competencies; and leadership and creative problem solving. Knowledge of mental illness and recovery principles is valued and bilingualism in English and French is desirable.
