The North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC) is a state-of-the-art health centre providing District acute care services to North Bay and its surrounding communities, and specialized mental health services to all of Northeastern Ontario.
The Board of Directors is committed to seeking new Board members that reflect the full diversity of Nipissing and the Northeast. Equally important will be the competencies and experiences that make the candidate a suitable Director at NBRHC
Board Directorship is a volunteer position that typically requires a dedicated time commitment of 15 to 20 hours per month. Directors are expected to attend Board meetings (in-person and/or virtually) and be involved with a committee of the Board. Travel and other expenses to conduct Board business are reimbursed in accordance with Board Policy.
The Board is using an approach that is based on balancing a wide range of knowledge, skills and experience in selecting members that represent the population we serve. For these specific Board positions, a solid background in any of the following would be an asset: French Language, Indigenous Reconciliation, Healthcare Experience – Clinical, Quality and Performance and Legal. Bilingualism in English and French is desirable.
