Please Bring:

** It is your responsibility to label all personal items **

All patients should bring the following:

  • comb/brush
  • contact lens case
  • denture cup
  • deodorant
  • feminine products
  • house coat
  • pen/pencil
  • shampoo
  • shaving accessories/razor
  • shower cap
  • sleepwear
  • slippers
  • soap
  • tissues
  • toothbrush
  • toothpaste
  • underwear

Pediatric patients may bring:

  • a favorite toy
  • pillow/comforter

Maternity patients may also bring:

  • 3 pairs of underwear
  • 2 boxes of large size sanitary pads
  • 1 box of breast pads
  • 2 nursing bras

Supplies for taking the baby home should include:

  • baby clothing
  • car seat – safety approved
  • diapers

Surgical Patients:

DO
  • Take a bath or shower the night before or morning of your surgery
  • Wear clean clothes
  • Contact lens wearers, please do not forget the lens container
DON’T
  • Wear makeup, nail polish, perfume and other cosmetics
Prior to surgery make sure that you follow your doctor’s instructions regarding when you are to stop food or drink consumption and for any medications, laxatives, or other special preparations before your surgery.** Failure to comply with the instructions listed above could result in a surgery cancellation **

Medication:

Please bring all medications that you are currently taking in their original containers. This includes:

  • prescription drugs
  • over the counter drugs
  • vitamins
  • laxatives
  • aspirin products
  • blood thinners

Your doctor will give you instructions about the medications you are to take prior to coming into the hospital. You must follow your doctor’s instructions about your medications.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR OWN MEDICATION WHILE IN THE HOSPITAL UNLESS SPECIFICALLY INSTRUCTED TO DO SO BY YOUR NURSE.
