Visiting Hours – Pediatric

• Parents are allowed 24-hours access for the duration of their child’s stay, with one overnight visitor permitted.
• Visiting hours are from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Two visitors may be present at the bedside at a time.
• All visitors must be over the age of 12 with the exception of siblings. An adult must supervise siblings at all times.
• There may be times when visiting is limited or restricted.

The pediatric unit at the North Bay Regional Heath Centre is a six bed unit that provides general pediatric and surgical services for children up to 18 years of age. In addition there are two child/adolescent mental health beds.

A team of skilled nursing staff, five pediatricians, family physicians, a recreational therapist, a social worker, a dietician and spiritual care workers provide both inpatient and outpatient care to patients up to the age of 17 years.

This Unit serves also as a district Pediatric referral centre for surrounding communities as far north as New Liskeard and south to Huntsville.
