Rehab Inpatient Unit

This unit consists of 29 designated Rehabilitation beds.  In addition to nursing, therapy  services are conveniently located on the unit and consist of occupational therapy, physiotherapy, recreation therapy, speech language pathology and social work. Other services are accessed from elsewhere in the hospital and community as needed.

The goal of the Rehabilitation Program is to assist the patient to achieve their optimal level of independence through a collaborative multidisciplinary team process in preparation for discharge. Active participation of the patient and family is an integral component of the program. Application for admission to the Rehabilitation Program requires a physician referral and can be made through the Rehabilitation Program Clinical Nurse Educator.
